September 2013: Schoolgirl's Day at VPE
Young people usually choose gender specific occupations. With its “Schoolgirl’s Day” the University of Kaiserslautern aims to broaden the spectrum of careers for girls and young women, since girls are underrepresented in some of the technical and scientific courses available at the University of Kaiserslautern. Within the event the girls receive not only precise information about the diverse alternatives but also an opportunity to realize their own skills through a practical experience.
“Kandinsky goes 3D - CAD Drawing in the third Dimension”
Within the event at the Institute for Virtual Product Engineering the participating schoolgirls explore the two-dimensional geometry of a painting by Kandinsky in the 3D space.
We have prepared the right computers and everything else, so that you can have a lot of fun with the computer art. The pictures drawn on the computer can be printed out and taken home.
